Duties and Responsibilities

The intern will assist with implementing UNEP FI’s communications, digital and events strategy. Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the individual’s background as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to: - Assist with the writing, editing and design of communication content, including newsletters, social media, event announcements, web content, digital content and other targeted communications - Assist with managing UNEP FI website, managing day to day updates and content development. - Assist with media outreach and with social media outreach. - Assistance with day-to-day coordination of events. - Assist with the communications for virtual events and webinars, advancing the sustainable finance agenda to audiences around the globe. - Assist with the rollout of new digital tools and development of best practice guidelines. - Social media and video editing skills would be good to have.

Qualifications/special skills

Applicants must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: a. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); c. Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation. Preferred education background includes: last year Undergraduate in communications, journalism, environmental studies, development studies, economics, business administration, finance, environmental studies, ideally with some experience in communications. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Please explain how you would meet this criterion Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another UN Language is desirable.
